We can provide a long term solution to problems such as thread veins, red flushing (rosacea) and red spots in just a few quick and easy Laser red vein removal treatments.
How does Laser Red Vein Removal treatment work?
Light energy is absorbed by the blood vessel which heats until the vessel is destroyed. Following the Laser red vein removal treatment the vessels quickly repair, leaving little or no trace of the original lesion.
Which types of veins can be treated?
Most red skin lesions, including facial thread, rosacea, spider naevi, and port wine stains, can be treated very successfully. Depending on the lesions leg vessels can also respond very well to treatment.
How does the treatment feel?
Treatment is mildly uncomfortable but there is no need for anaesthesia and the treatment is very quick.
Are there any side affects?
After laser red vein treatment the area may feel warm for a few hours. Rarely some delicate skin areas such as cheeks or decollete can be red and slightly swollen for up to 48 hours. Though very rare there is a chance of small blisters forming and temporary lightening or darkening of the skin. A patch test will be carried out at the booking stage of treatment to greatly reduce the chance of adverse reactions.
How long does it take?
Laser red vein removal treatment will typically take between 5 and 30 minutes depending on type and size of lesion. Typically 3 to 5 treatments every 4 to 6 weeks will be necessary though small lesions may clear in just one treatment.
